Ganesha or Vinayaka or Vigneshwara, is the foremost deity, who is remembered before any activity is undertaken. He is supposed to remove all obstacles from our work. For this purpose, any activity starts with an invocation to Lord Ganesha, the destroyer of all obstacles.

தற்பரனே நின் தாள் சரண்.
